Luxembourg will become the meeting point for Europe’s #vascular community in 2028!✨

We are proud to announce that Luxembourg will host the European Society for Vascular Surgery (ESVS) Annual Meeting 2028! From 19-22 September 2028, we will welcome around 1,500 medical professionals from across Europe and beyond.
 
The successful bid was led by the Luxembourg Society for Vascular Surgery (SLCV.lu) with strong support from the #LuxembourgConventionBureau, highlighting Luxembourg’s commitment to medical excellence, innovation, and international collaboration.
 
💬Dr. Dirk Grotemeyer, MD, PhD, President of the Luxembourg Society for Vascular Surgery, commented: «Bringing this conference to Luxembourg has been a long journey - from the initial idea in 2018 to the successful bid for 2028. We are proud to have collaborated with the Luxembourg Convention Bureau and to be the winning host city among five strong other candidates. ESVS 2028 will shine a spotlight on Luxembourg’s medical community, university, and healthcare institutions.”

Madina Lapeyre, Programme Manager of the European Society for Vascular Surgery, stated: “The ESVS is delighted to bring its Annual Meeting to Luxembourg in 2028. We look forward to collaborating with the Luxembourg Society for Vascular Surgery and the Luxembourg Convention Bureau to deliver an outstanding scientific programme that continues our mission to advance vascular education and improve patient care across Europe”.

Maurice Bauer, President of the Luxembourg Convention Bureau, added:
“Hosting the ESVS Annual Meeting will not only showcase the country’s medical expertise but also strengthen its position as a hub for cutting-edge research and clinical excellence in vascular medicine. In addition to the scientific programme, delegates will have the opportunity to explore Luxembourg’s cultural highlights through a series of social events.”
 
Following previous Kraków (2024), Istanbul (2025) and the future hosts Belgrade (2026), and Lisbon (2027), #Luxembourg is proud to take its place on the European stage in 2028.

Luxembourg shines as a hub for #healthcare innovation!✨

We are very happy to welcome the 6th Shared Patient Experience International Colloquium from 6-8 October 2025, bringing together global experts to explore the theme of “Patient Experience at the Heart of All Care.”

The #LuxembourgConventionBureau team supported this inspiring event, showcasing #Luxembourg’s dedication to patient-centered healthcare and international collaboration.

From interactive workshops at Centre National de Rééducation Fonctionnelle et de Réadaptation - Rehazenter and Hôpitaux Robert Schuman, to dynamic sessions at LUXEXPO THE BOX during the Healthcare Week Luxembourg, participants shared insights, best practices, and innovative approaches to improving #PatientExperience.

🇱🇺 A historic moment in Luxembourg! 👑

From 3 to 5 October, the country celebrates the “Trounwiessel”, the accession of H.R.H. the Crown Prince Guillaume to the throne, following the abdication of H.R.H. the Grand Duke Henri. 📜

The Grand Duke is Luxembourg’s Head of State, a symbol of continuity, unity, and the country’s values both at home and abroad. 🌍

Here’s what’s on the programme:

– Official ceremonies in Luxembourg City (Friday)

– Public celebrations across the country (Saturday)

– A solemn Te Deum at Notre-Dame Cathedral (Sunday), broadcast on TV and online ⛪📺

A heartfelt thank you to TT.RR.HH. the Grand Duke Henri and the Grand Duchess Maria Teresa for their decades of dedication.

And our warmest wishes to TT.RR.HH. the Grand Duke Guillaume and the Grand Duchess Stéphanie as they begin this new chapter. ✨

Since 2023, Luxembourg has proudly served as the European Hub for ICCA Skills, highlighting our commitment to professional education and empowering the global meetings community with knowledge, skills, and new opportunities. ✨
