Four days of exchange and innovation

The 2026 programme combines scientific exchange, practical demonstrations and networking opportunities. Participants can attend keynote talks, tutorials, oral and poster presentations, special sessions, panel discussions, demonstrations and industry-oriented activities.

Topics addressed throughout the conference include deep learning, image and video coding, medical imaging, 3D vision, biometrics and forensics, deepfake detection, Earth observation, autonomous systems, image restoration and visual AI.

The conference opened with welcoming remarks from Professor Djamila Aouada, Local Chair of the Organising Committee from the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT) of the University of Luxembourg, whose efforts were instrumental in bringing this international event to Luxembourg.

Then, Professor Dima Damen, from the University of Bristol, delivered an inspiring keynote, "Modeling in an Ego-Sensed World", introducing major topics that will drive discussions throughout the conference.

Dedicated panel discussions further explore the future of AI and visual information processing, as well as the relationship between research, industry and innovation. A student programme also gives emerging researchers opportunities to present their work, meet mentors and connect with established members of the international research community
